The Miner's Trail

The 'Miners Trail' is a self-guide footpath around the old workingsof the mine site. It is an award-winning Mining Heritage Trail with colourful exhibitions and the best collection of Silver-lead mining curiosities in Wales. Both educational and fun! Access is easy underground. With only 9 steps in the whole tour it is suitable for young and old alike (under 5's - at the Mine Manager's discretion) .

Llywernog Mine is a good starting point for exploring the many tracks and footpaths that criss-cross the old silver-lead mining district to the west of Plynlimon. Many of these are being upgraded and way-marked as part of the 'Mining Landscapes Project' to raise awareness of this fascinating mining story.

Mountain bikes will soon be available for hire at the mine.
