The Llywernog Mine is now OPEN, 7 days a week from 10.00am to 5.30pm, and is now known as the Silver Mountain Experience. The new attraction includes a longer & more dramatic themed underground tour, new cafe and retail shop, a water-play area for children with panning and gem jigging, woods full of myths & legend, and a completely redesigned mining heritage & green energy zone. Silver Mountain has already developed an extensive range of Curriculum based Educational Resource materials and the site has it's own bilingual Education Officer who works with School Groups to maximise the potential of the variety of subjects on offer. In addition, our helpful staff can help with Team Building packages and the Gem Panning, Scare Tour, Heritage Exhibition, Fantasy Woodland and old Mine Workings can all be used as part of this resource.
